what are the best 6.5"s
Ted,

I say YES, but wait WHEN it is time to re-barrel. Get your 3k or so rounds out first, then do one. My suggestion.

My next custom 6.5 WILL be a 6.5x47. I can always buy a gun in 260 or 6.5x55. The Lapua round comes very close in hunting length barrels and is a very efficient round. Brass quality will ensure accuracy and simplicity at a small price.

Oh, did I mention you should be able to throat it accordingly, used in conjuction with an 8 twist, it should work with ALL bullet weights from 85-160 AND feed in a short action w/o losing case capacity. Seems to have alot going for it in a short action round.

My .02.
