264 Williams
I have had passed to me by my brother a 264 my Dad had. It's a 264 Williams, and the barrel is also inscribed Bill's Gunshop, Odessa, Texas.

Anybody every heard of this shop or their rifles??

Action appears to be an Argentine Mauser, and it's supposed to be a very accurate rifle. Smiler
Problem is, no one seems to know where the dies might be. Frowner

Still, pretty interesting and I thought some member of the forum might know something about it.

I don't suppose you have an mty or even a loaded round somewhere do you?

Ummm - that would be a negative. Figure a chamber cast will confirm what I think it is - a 270 necked down to 264. Or am I wrong in thinking that's what a "264 Wms." is supposed to be?

Take a look in PO Ackleys handbook. You will find information on that cartridge. I'm away from home right now so I can't look in my book.
