hey guys i have a very old hornady reload manual.wonder if i could get some one to quote me some loads using h380 an 60 gr bullet out of some one's newer book. thanks will[app] thanks

I looked in the Hornady 4th edition 1991 version for 60 gr 22-250 loads using H380 but they didn't use H380 in their tests. Sorry, maybe they used in it their latest version.

The latest Sierra manual shows;
33.7.............3100 fps
37.6.............3400 fps
This manual in my opinion is ultra-conservative which is as it should be I suppose. Jim

I bet I have put at least 50 pounds of H-380 through my 22-250 and have tried many others but just keep coming back to it as it's the most accurate, easiest to load powder I have ever tried in any caliber. I would use it in everything if I could. I shoot 50 grain Hornady SPSX's with anywhere from 38-42 grains depending on my mood. It always is a solid .250 performer. On the top lods I can get up to 3900 fps. I usually shoot them at around 3800 as I can't tell any difference on game.

Beats me by a few pounds, but I've had four .22-250's and if it won't shoot with H-380 and good bullets, I think a trip to the gun doctor is probably in order.

I've probably shot 49.5 lbs of H380 thru shall we say several 22-250's. Of almost equal use is H414. Also over the years, while loading up for p-dog hunts, I've used my 22-250 as a "clean up" rifle. By that I mean, I would use up the left over half pound and quarter pound boxes of powder from projects that didn't prove up. Its pretty amazing what a broad range of powders have a practical application in the 22-250.
