30378I have a 25-06 Remington 700 and would buy another in a minute. Just so much stuff out there to customize or add on to. All are nice but the Remmy is what others are judged by.

BigNateOf those choices it would definately be the Ruger! Nate

VarmintGuyTanoose: I have sure had great duty from my Remington 700 SS/DBM in 25/06!
I originally bought this Rifle for one of the VarmintSons about 6 years ago. I have a Leupold 4.5x14 variable scope on it. It shoots Remington factory ammo so well I have never made a handload for it to date! I believe this is the only Big Game Rifle I have ever owned that I have used factory ammo exclusively in!
It has killed Mule Deer, Whitetails, Antelope and Coyotes with the Remington factory ammo!
Both myself and my two VarmintSons have taken big game with this Rifle!
I have also never owned a Rifle for Big Game that used a detachable box magazine like this 700 SS/DBM model uses!
I find it splendidly handy for cold young fingers and cold "old" arthritic fingers as well!
The trigger on this Rifle is just wonderful and the stainless feature is handsome and handy when young Hunters are using it (and they just are not as careful around moisture, blood and goo as need be)!
I have truly been impressed with the Rifle not just in accuracy but in year to year holding of point of aim!
Every fall I sight in my friends Ruger 77 V in caliber 25/06 and it shoots well but every year I need to spin the dials on his Kahles scope to re-attain zero! Could be the wood stock, could be harsh treatment (I suspect this!) or who knows what?
I heartily recommend the Remington 700 for you.
It would be nice to repay the folks who standardized the 25/06 by trying one of their Rifles! Remington resale value is of course higher than the others you mentioned - in case for some reason you do not care for the Remington. Higher percentage return of money initially invested that is for the Remington 700's!
Good luck with whichever you choose.
Hold into the wind

AggieDogI just purchased a 25-06 Model 700 CDL with a 24 inch barrel. I've found myself overly migrating to Remington for bolt actions.
Varmint Guy hit the key reasons.
