<eldeguello>Maddog, I once rechambered a .222 M722 Rem., so I could use GI brass & loaded ammo. It worked out OK, no loss of accuracy, and a simple job it is. But, today, I would leave it a .222!! It's interesting how our ideas change over the years.

StonecreekIt's been done thousands of times, but I agree with eldeguello that since the .222 is becoming a bit scarce and .223's are running out our ears, it may be wise both esthetically and financially to leave a gun in the original .222 caliber. This is most especially true if the gun is a "classic" like a Remington 722 or pre-Garcia Sako or something similarly sought after.
