bartscheSows ear to silk purse!!
Yesterday's Range results: .22 PPC.
Mod 200 Stevens, Shaw heavy barrel unbedded, 6 pound trigger, Tru Glo $69.00 scope ( not super clear ), 7.62x39 nny reformed cases , large rifle primer, powders : H322, IMR 4895, 2230-C,and DP 74, Tupper Ware stock, Rice bag rest, not the most steady shooter.
34 grain HP Varmint Nite Mare extremes ( Mid South ), 50 yards
7 shot .500" group
6 shot .700" group
10 shot .650" group
52 grain HP FB Berger
7 shot .500" group
4 shot .700" group
4 shot .250" group
Only the Berger bullets are thought of as any real bench quality. The results aren't super but they are good. My thinking is that, wouldn't it be interesting to see what a good bench guy with great equipment could do with this second rate ammo?
Never did I expect these results.
Vapo Dog says he will post the targets.

vapodogIMO Roger is among the best at wringing good accuracy from "budget" type components.......and that's an art all in itself!
This is a specialty.....and many of us can appreciate that!
