DWrightExperience with the .257 Weatherby?
Wondering about bullet performance on Medium game with this caliber. Mostly heavy vs. light bullet performance at longer ranges.

Ed ScarboroI'm not sure what you mean by medium game but I am shooting 100gr TSX's with max load of RL25 with mv of 3600fps. This load has taken several 180-210lb deer with no problem.

wfhA friend of mines wife has used the 257 roy with 115 grain Nosler partitions on Caribou with excellant results. 100 grain Nosler E-tip on a large Kansas buck with the same results. He uses the 300 win mag with the 180 grain Winchester supremes and claims they are equally effective on game with these loads. The Roy is definitely more pleasant to shoot.

DoglegA 12 year old kid, a handfull of tags and a .257 loaded up with 100 grain Ballistic-tips.
A somewhat older kid.Little has changed.
About the only thing the kid knows about his rifle is that when he uses the "blue tips" deer fall over and that when he uses the TSXs he has to wait for awhile. Lifes simple if you keep it simple.

jaegerfrankI have a Blaser K95 in 257 wby and have used it for stag in Scotland (nosler Partition) and with factory ammo Ballistic Tips for chamois. An outstanding cartridge.
