CLK320257 weatherby factory ammo
I have a 257 lightweight that I have had for over a year with never shooting, have thought about selling but never was to serious about. Last weekend, my hunting buddy and I moved a ladderstand to a new location and decided I needed to hunt out of it. With shoots out to about 300 yards, which makes me want to hunt with the Weatherby, but no time to reload. I'm looking at the 100 gr. X and 110 Accubond factory loads, any feedback?

Thomas JonesI don't think you can go to wrong with either choice. But My Model 700 in the .257 WM is a tack driver with the 100 Grain TSX.
On game I am sure than it would be a great cartridge to use with the tsx.
I took that combo after mule deer this year but had no luck...tj3006

HeatIt certainly depends on what game you are shooting. At the speeds of the 257 when it's shorter ranges, say out to 100 yds, it's not an issue. I don't know how much the TSXs would open on "softer" game at 3 or 4 hundred yards. The Accubonds should work quite well at the longer ranges but might not work that well up close. I can't wait for the TTSXs in 257 for mine

Paladin45After this season I am a firm believer of the 110 Accubonds. Using my new weatherby Accumark I took my buck Antelope at 200 yards , My doe antelope was 350 yards, both were one bang, flops. My Whitetail was 300 yards and one shot was putting him down but I put a second one in him for insurance. One heck of a round. I like it so much I just bought a Remington CDL SF in it.

GaryGI use the factory 100 TSX in my 257 Weatherby and shot a 3/8" three shot group. I was impressed with the factory ammo! A great antelope round.

Is your model 700 from Remingtons 2008 line up or did they chamber it previously?
