Tactical Twenty info and data?
I was wondering if someone could give me some data and information on the Tactical Twenty? If I remember correctly what I have read, it is based on the .223 case. If anyone could provide it, I'd be interested in some ballistics also. Would this be viable for coyotes out to 300yds? Thanks for any and all info

You're right, Pointer, it is based on the
.223, necked down to 20 caliber and the
shoulder bumped back to change the shoulder
angle. Per Bill's post there is a list of
articles from the Small Caliber News
website. That article gives quite a bit of
info about it from Todd Kindler, who came up
with the new round. There's also another site
http://www.angelfire.com/sd/6mmackley/twentycaliber.html that gives a little more info
about it.

I've ordered a Tactical 20 barrel from Virgin
Valley Custom Guns for my T/C Encore that
should be here within another week-10 days.
Will be able to tell ya more later this spring.

Two companies make bullets for it, the 33gr
VMax by Hornady and the 36gr MEF by Berger.
Both are pretty explosive bullets that I hear
work great on coyotes BUT with neck or lung
shots ONLY. Forget any shoulder shots. For
those who want to keep the fur, they're great
because the bullet does not exit on something
the size of a coyote.
