JacobiteThink I got a winner.
Well I have been working on a .257 AI for some time now. Had a rifle that would not shoot worth a darn even after having a Bold trigger installed or glass bedding. It was built on a nice M48 sized 98 action marked Waffen Frankonia. Well I had E.R. Shaw put a 26 inch varmint weight barrel on it as well as true the action and bolt face. Next I got a stock from Richards Micro Fit. I did the finial fitting and glass bedding job. It still need reblued but I wanted to see how she shot. With cheap 89 grain bullets loaded to moderate Roberts specs to fire form the cases I was able to get 1/2 inch three shot groups today. I am thinking this rifle has some promise.

mstarlingDon,
I do believe you're right!
CONGRATS ... 1/2" with cheap bullets ... that's worth a big smile

seafire2That sounds great...
nice to hear stories where someone has great results without a $2K to $2.5K custom rifle...
I have to get my 6mm Rem bull barrel Mauser complete.. I went with a Richards Stock on it also...
