Weatherby 2007 Mark XXII
Bolt action, magazine feed with high gloss Claro Walnut stock with rosewood forend and pistol grip with diamond. Saw one today at local shop. What a beauty!!! Dark marble Carlo. didn't get to handle but will go back tomorrow to fondle this little beast. Made by Anschutz in Germany. Looks like scaled down Mark V.

Weatherby has listed anything on their web site. Unknown why.

I'll try to get dealer to let me take a pic. Took some time today to handle this rifle. It has a flat top receiver that is grooved as well a drilled/tapped for mounts. The flat top has been cross hatch serrated for non-felective top. The safety is located on the right side and is of the Interarms type push/pull. The receiver is slotted on the right side to allow the bolt to travel rearward. Overall a nice clean look. Qick to shoulder with typical Weatherby Mark V stock design.

It's an Anschutz 1416D in a Weatherby styled stock is what it is. Compare them up close and you'll see.

Hot Core: Dealer said no to pictures out of his shop. Weatherby said today that the reason to come out this year with a bolt Mark XXII was to replace the auto that had function issues but not redo a T-bolt so contracted Anschutz to build a modified version of theirs but no trademark infringements.

Hey Buddy, I do appreciate you asking. Since Paul mentioned it is an Anschutz with the Weatherby style stock, I can come real close to a good mental image.

Thanks again.

I can't speak for the tube fed XXII's but I have owned several of the magazine fed XXII's and have never had a functioning problem other than that they didn't like the Remington trunecated bullets but then again I never did find a gun that liked those bullets. Even my Kimber wouldn't feed them very good. Every XXII I had also shot great!

Did any of you folks ever get one of the new Anschutz manufactured Weatherby XXII Bolt Actions?

Just saw one listed for $699 at one of the Auction sites.

I had the opportunity to shoot one at the range. Neat rifle but a bit pricey for a 22LR. Of course it has Weatherby written on it so it's not going to be cheap. They do seem very well made and yes, the stock is beautiful, as expected from Weatherby.

Nice looking rifle. For $700 it's right there with Kimbers and their ilk. Being an Anschutz makes it more interesting. Lou

Yes, having the Action built by Anschutz and being able to get it for around $700 seems like a good deal to me.

Also noticed some older Savage-Anschutz rifles available on some of the Auction sites.

Anybody know how many "Adjustments" are on Anschutz Triggers? Overtravel? Weight of Pull? Sear Engagement?
