hairbolANy 6.5 x 65 RWS shooters/reloaders here?
I'm going to get into the cartridge. Looks to me from what I've found so far that it's about Identical to the 6.5 x 06 improved in capacity and just a tiny bit under the 6.5 Rem Mag. Curious if anyone here shoots or loads for the round and if so what your experience has been?

Concerning the ballistics you may be right.
But for reloading the rimless 6,5x65 is a nightmare.
You´ll get into serious problems in resizing the cases.

I have one of this excellent caliber !!!!
I 'd nunted many deers with it and it is explosive if you use the correct bullet.
I use Nosler Partition 125 gs for a velocity of 329o fps on RWS cases , and 4350 .
Really is one of the best 6,5 calibers I'd tried.
6,5 x 55 , 6,5 gibbs , 6,5 x 68 schuler , 6,5 x 284 win, 260 Rem , 6,5 -06 . I had reloaded for all of these , and hunted with all of them , and I think that de x 65 is by far the most equilibrated and with super performance.

hairbolRaul, All, Thank you. I'm thinking the 6.5 x 65 RWS, 300 Win Mag and 416 in a Mauser M03. Will do it all. I may need to add something small like the 22-250. Thoughts, comments?

Sounds like a good all around combination. The .223 might be another option instead of the .22-250 depending on the intended purpose. I get more use out of my .223 than my .22-250. Then again, if you handload, the .22-250 will do everything the .223 will and more or less.
Have shot this cartridge in Germany...super flat with RWS 108 grain. The only complaint I have heard is about barrel life The 5.6x57, 6.5x68, and the vom Hofe cartridges have also been mentioned as having shorter barrel life. Don't know if this will be an issue for you. But if you want to reach out and touch something, this is a great cartridge.
