small cartridge question
Just ended up with four boxes of something marked 5.2X56R cartridges. Speedy looking thing. Anyone know if there is an equivalant US cartridge to this? I was thinking maybe .219 Zip or .22Hi-Power. Thanks for any help.

Actually, 22 Savage HP is 5.6X52R.

Most likely a typo on the OP's part.

I need me some more 5.6x52r.

Yep, 5.6 not 5.2; the brain was working but the eyeballs weren't connected...

5.6x52R....25-35 Winchester brass necked down, if I'm not mistaken....another creation of Charles Newton. This cartridge takes bullets sized at .227/8. Very popular in Europe for roe deer and vermin. Works well on coyote too...my small game drilling is a 20 gauge over 5.6x52R....

Maybe you'd been watching that girl in the other post shooting that endless ammo supply.
I'm surprised the admin hasn't banned that picture. Yes it's impressive.

JonP,
The 6.5x52 R is a 25-35 Win. and in most cases it splits the brass when fired in a 25-35 Win mod 94..
