However, late 1980s production Model 70 short action.. originally chambered in 243...
Bolt for this project, borrowed from a Featherweight in 223....
Barrel: ER Shaw, heavy magnum contour, 26 inch, Chrone Moly... 1 in 12 twist, finished in Camo Green Spray Paint from Walmart, it having a greyish tint to it.
Chambered in 223 Rem
Scope: Weaver V 16, Target Dot Reticle
Stock: Boyd's Thumbhole, Grey Laminate...
Rings and Bases: Leupold.
Standard Load: 14.5 grains of Blue Dot, Winchester Small Rifle Primers, Winchester Brass, 50 grain TNT Speer...MV about 3200 fps

6.5BRDeuce performance with less powder than I used in my FB. Not bad. Nice rifle, should be very mild in report, and deadly. Enjoy getting those varmints!
Nice contour choice also.
