.223 Remington w Barnes 62 grain TSX Load?
Anyone have a good load for a semi auto (AR-15) "gas gun" load for the .223 using the Barnes 62 grain TSX?

(1-9 twist).

My rifles w 16 and 20 inch barrel do well w RL-15, BLC-2, Varget and 4895.

OCL and powder recomendations apreciated.

Sighted in now w 62 grain Fusion and 75 grain Hornady BTHP.

24.5 grains of Ramshot TAC works well in my 1-7 guns.

25.0gr/H4895 get me 2900fps out of a 16" bbl. Deadly load!

Perry,

Were you able to seat 0.050 off lands in your AR? That is what Barnes recommends. Dont know if that is possible in a semi auto?

If not, what was your OCL?

thanks!

I just put it as far out as I can to work in the magazine.

+1 on what JPC does. My COL is about 2.245, just under magazine length. My accuracy is great, just under 3/4" at 100yds. Barnes bullets tend to like a long jump to the lands so it works out well as long as pressure is not an issue.
