Anyone here know or know where I can find
the ballistic coefficients of the .20 33gr
Hornady VMAX and the Berger .20 36gr MEF?

<Arizona Larry>Hello,
Did you have any luck checking with the bullet makers? I think they both have websites that list the BC's.

<Todd A Kindler>The 20 caliber Hornady 33 gr. V-Max has a B.C. of .185 and the 20 caliber Berger 36 gr. is .161 . Hope this helps!

<jim saubier>I would have guessed that the v-max had a higher bc than that. Is the 20 grain .17 cal v-max at .187 for the BC? Or am I mistaken?

Kevin GulletteJim,
I believe they both have a BC of 0.185.
The 20V-Max BC is why I switched from the Berger 25 match. Same BC, but I can drive the V-Max about 10% faster in my Javelina PD rifle. At almost 4400fps, it's easily good for 400-500 yard shots. My longest, so far, is 630 yards.....but a few "sighters" were required in the gale that day.

<jim saubier>630 yards is impressive any way you look at it from any gun. Thanks for setting me straight, I just figured that the .20 v-max would have a higher bc than the .17 v-max. Thats what I get for thinking.
