Barnes XLC in .223 Rem
Who can inform me about this bullet or the X bullet in .223 REM for use on 25 kg animals?

It will work on Oregon blacktails and Montana antelope just fine....a big one of either is probably 110 lbs... which should be appoximately the 25 KGs you mention....

2.2# = 1 kg

25 kg should approximate 56 lbs.

The TSX should easily handle that range and larger with a well placed shot.

I use the 45gr XLC on coyotes in my Hornet. It's the best bullet I've found for them at Hornet velocities. I have used it in my 222mag, also on coyotes. Based on my experiences, I would not hesitate to shoot something larger with the XLC out of my 222mag.

You should be fine.

I've used the TSX 53 grain out of a 22-250 on smaller mule deer bucks with devastating results out to 345 yards. That was moving at higher velocities in the 22-250 than you would get it to in the 223 but for the size of game the TSX would work fine.

What Twist weight are you using the Barnes TSX 53 gr in? I have a 1:14 in my 22-250 and would like to use this bullet.

I'm shooting my 22-250 TSX out of a Remington VSSF which has the same 1:14" twist rate, I think?, and the accruacy is great
