Dewey Rods
I just purchased a new Dewey 17 cal. rod and noticed it has a different coating than my old ones. The new one has a matte finish that is slightly textured. All my old ones have a gloss coating that is very smooth. The new one also appears to have a slightly harder coating. I am just wondering if Dewey has changed the coating or if I got a bad rod.

Dewey has been using that coating for several years now on their 17 caliber rods. It seems to hold up well.
