Creedmoor is fairly new but I'm sure a lot of sheep have been killed with 6.5x55 or 260 Rem over the years. I can't imagine it not working well if you make a clean shot to the vitals with a 140 grain bullet. I'd probably go bonded for extra insurance. I'm looking to go Aoudad hunting in the Davis mountains next year and I'll probably use a 7-08 or 308 with either 140 or 150 Accubonds.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

I believe Kaboku68 nailed it. Pick one I like and don't mind if it gets beaten up a little.

My 270 WSM Model 70 Winchester with a 6.5 X 20 Ziess Conquest loaded with 130 grain Northforks to the tune of 3450 fps is my Sheep rifle. I will also use it this year with 160 grain Nosler Partitions turning 2950 fps for Elk. Good shooting.
