Howa 1500 Varminter
Anybody got one? How do they shoot? Any sugestions? Thanks in advance.

Don't have a varmint one, but I do have a .308 hunter with a walnut stock. I pillar bedded it with Score High pillars and epoxy, floated the barrel, worked over the trigger, mounted a scope and it'll shoot into 3/4 inch at 200 yards with Black Hills 175 match ammo. Pretty darn impressive for an otherwise factory rifle I think. BTW, it is possible to get a good trigger on those things and still have a functional safety but it's not easy. Remington's trigger design is just so superior!

I have a Stainless Steel 223 sporter in the composite stock that shot the first 5 shots into slightly over 1/2" inch. It is for sale as I put it together for my grandson not knowing autistic kids can`t take noise. Rifle, 3 1/2X10 Nicols scope. All for 500.00!!
