holzaugeWhat size (dimensions) of patches for 7mm and .270
I've run of the patches I've used for years to clean all my 7mm/.270 rifles. I don't remember what size they were. I bought several hundered patches recently that were supposed to be for 7mm/.270, but the things are just too big to go down the bore without excessive violence or trimming them down one at a time.

What size do you guys recommend.

muckThat depends on the size of the jag you are using.
Change the size of your patch or jag to get a proper fit.

30378For a 270, I use a 243 jag and a 30 caliber or 2"x2" patch. Gives greater surface area

DavidI use the sinclair 7mm jag for both 7mm and 270s. For 7mm I use 2" square patches and 1 3/4" square patches for my 270. The Sinclair jags are a bit smaller than most others for a given caliber.

Me too, for both .270 & 7m/m. In the .270 I just change to a 6.5 m/m jag. For .30's, I prefer a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" extra thick GI patch.
