I have a Sportwaffen 'Tyrol' .222 and would like a bit more info/history about the gun and company. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry, I've never heard of the brand or the factory. Kufstein is a town on the Austrian/German border in the Austrian state of "Tyrol" - thus, I suppose, the names.

It looks like the gun has integral bases (and Weavers mounted on top), as well as a detachable magazine. The way the trigger is located in the guard makes it look like a single-set trigger (push forward to set). That would be pretty standard for an Austrian gun.

I thought it might be easier if we posted a couple of the pictures directly here...
