vapodogRe: Rifle suggestions for (soon-to-be) wife...
Browning's micro medallion in 260, .243 etc is a very fine gun as is the Win M-70 compact featherweight rifle

beemanbemeIMO, the only reason to buy a .243 is to have it rebarreled to a .260 or 7-08.

I would buy the wife-to-be a Model 7 Rem in 7-08. Then I would go to Midway (I think) and get a Cadet stock for it. That's a youth diminsioned stock. That way you can "borrow" it once in a while.

clark98utNext question...
I'm guessing it's going to be really difficult to find one of these used, so are there any really good online retailers or should I just go down to the local Wally World and buy/order one? They list the M70 at $560 online.
Thanks,
Dan
