1894mk2Hornady 6mm 70gr SP
Turns a 6mm rem into a 22-250 plus!
I've shot about a quarter of a box of these amazing little pills at roe and am very impressed indeed.
Obviously very little recoil. Effect on roe very good with less damage than a 90gr BT and really quite tough with 99% pass throughs even at a MV of 3,500fps.
This is a very light bullet even for our small roe deer. Never the less it works extremely well indeed.

StonecreekI've seen the 55 grain .224 Hornady (regular, not SX) often recommended as a deer bullet because it tends to penetrate better than most .22 caliber varmint bullets. Your experience with the 70 grain .243 seems to bear this out.

vapodogI use the 70 grain SX in the 6 X 45. It's a little slower and seems to work very well on whitetails locally.
