OK after beating it around now for over a year whether to recut my 6.5PDK reamer or simply build a 264 I finally gave in. Roll Eyes

264Wmag it will be. Since I like to be different it will have a 25" barrel. A 26" is too long and won't fit under the shelf in my safe. Big Grin It will be stuck on a High Tech stock with a 4x14 Burris main purpose is a lighter weight carry rifle. So barrel will be a CM #2 25" .6" at the muzzle. Won't be a varmint rifle and I prefer blueing.

On my old 6.5PDK I was using a 1 in 8. I have bought several 100 130Accubonds and plan on using it most if not all of the time. Will a 1 in 9 stabilize the 130 Accubond at 264 Velocity?. If I ever need a heavier bullet I'll grab a different rifle.

I checked and I don't have enough winchester brass to start with. So need to buy brass. Anyone used the Nosler 264Wmag brass? How was its capacity compared to the winchester?

As usual just my $.02

Paul, the 1:9 should stabilize the 130s just fine. That's what I have in mine and it works with the 129 Hornadys great. It even does fine with the 140 Sierra Matchkings.

Be sure to let us see it when it's done.

I know why it's called a Roadking....the 2010 Roadking is the way to go.... electronic cruise control, 6 speeds, 40 mpg..... im going to tip's tomorrow to see the stock he just got for my .505 gibbs.... i've got to get an ipod for some music, it sure is comfortable....btw, when tip built my .264 we used a 26" bbl in #4 contour... its a little muzzle heavy, but its not gonna be carried far either...

Hey Ramrod!

I have 200 Winchester Brass and 100 pieces of Nosler. I like the Nosler.

Go with the 1 in 8 barrel. You may want to shoot a GOOD bullet once in a while! Big Grin

Make sure you have some WC-872 and some US-869 to bring it to life as well!

My 1in9" 264 loves 125gr Partitoins and 130gr AB's. It also shoots 140gr GK's very accurately in a reduced load at about 3000fps.

My 1:9 264wm stabilizes 130gr Accubonds, 125 Partitions, 129 Hornadys, and 140 sierras.

The sierra is the only 140gr bullet at that has worked for me.

140gr Accubonds, and 130gr TSXs tumble at 100yds.
