It's listed as a factory chambering by Husqvarna but a hen i search I can't find any dimensions o. The web

This is certainly a good question, as the Swedish book "Husqvarna Jaktvapen 1870-1977" on page 183 definitely shows the model 33 being chambered in 6x36R along with several other rounds up until 1912.

I can find no reference to such a cartridge in Brad Dixon's very complete two-volume set "European Sporting Cartridges" which covers literally hundreds of metric rounds, common and obscure, over some 400 pages; or in any other reference work or catalog of the time.

If I had to guess, I'd propose that it is a Swedish reference to the .22 WCF (not the similar but later Hornet), which was referred to as the 5,6x35R (or 36R) elsewhere in Europe. The .22 WCF was introduced by Winchester in the US in 1885 and used black powder with .228" diameter lead bullets, and was the precursor to the later European 5,6x35R 'Vierling' cartridge and the even later 1930's Hornet. Remember that this is only my guess.

I'd love to get my hands on that rifle and make a chamber cast.

Thanks for the replies. I thought I would pick one up if it was something I could load for. But it appears that is not going to happen.

They make a 25-35 but 25 is a metric, and those cased usually split a tad on the first firing, so not a good practice..

CH4D lists a 6x37R but not a 36. With a chamber cast they could probably come up with a set of dies.

Anyone familiar with the (swedish?)
kaliber 6x36.
Appears in some Husqvarna mod 33.
Can't find any information 'bout this
cartridge.
Is it twin to a more known one?

Hi, the 6x36 is the same as 22 Vierling. The Sweeds is not allways easy to understand

The 5,6 x 35 R Vierling is close as is the 22 winchester single-shot 5,8 x 35 . It is a nightmare with sweedish measurments of calibres and it seems they are measuring in the bottom of the grooves sometimes..And these rifles could be ordered in whatever calibre so you will find som prettye strange ones sometimes.

I know that this does not answer the question, but a 6mmFireball would be a great little round.

I'm just starting to play with a 6mm ARC (6x38mm). I bought it for Wifezilla to use for deer since she'll only shoot the AR15 rifles.

It's a hoot to play with and I'm getting some pretty impressive results with 85 and 90 grain bullets.
