Rock8296M-15A4 accuracy
I am looking into buying a M-15A4 special purpose rifle and wanted to know if anybody could tell me what accuracy I could expect from it. Will probably use Wolf 55gr ammo. Any info will be much appreciated.

Big BoreMy M15 A4 (T) has yet to shoot a group over 3/4 inch. However, I have not fed, nor will I feed it any steel cased ammo. Since mine is a target rifle, it will be fed only target ammo. With a 1:9 twist, it likes the match 77 gr. bullets, molly, Black Hills the best so far.

Cold Bore"Accuracy" and "Wolf ammo" don't go together....

SabotFederal sells the military ammo they make, and it uses Lake City brass. I get mine from my local gun shop when its available for $4.50 per box of 20. It is desigmated XM193 and has the 55 gr metal case BT bullet. It is VERY hot and quite accurate. In my Bushmaster 20 inch bbl they clock 3334 fps, while the Wolf's do 2990. Even in my 16 inch OLY upper the do 3085 fps.
For 1.5 MOA or better, you only need to sort it by the cannelure position as on, short or long...about 15 seconds per box. Give it a try, and you won't bother with wolf. The brass alone is worth $1-2 a box!

Orion 1If accuracy is the goal with factory ammo, why would anyone bother with anything but match grade ammo from Black Hills, Hornady, or Federal?
I keep hearing guys talk about American Eagle this, South African that, bla bla bla. When someone starts winning high power matches with that stuff on a regular basis, I'll listen. Otherwise, ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Dave RRock, I shoot a lot of Wolf in my .223 SAR-3 (AK equiv) and I agree with the other posters that it is the least accurate .223 around.
I get much better results at a relatively bargain price with PMP "Gazelle" ammo which is brass-cased and reloadable.
Depending on how the chamber of your AR is cut, it may not feed Wolf reliably. The guys at AR-15.com have very mixed results. Some say its fine, some have lots of stuck cases. The current theory is wolf is a little generous in their case dimensions, and it too big for a tight chamber.
