.452 wildcats?
Anyone out there load a straight-walled .452 wildcat? How long can you make a straight case before you have extraction problems? I figured I could get away with 1.75" and still not have so much freebore that I couldn't shoot 45 Colt ammo. Is 2" too much?

45LC---

What bullets are you going to shoot in this wildcat?

45s are made on cases up to 3.5 inches long and any of them could be necked down........but then you'd have a rifle with no bullets suitable for the velocity OR an incredibly sloppy chambered 45 LC rifle.

I can't see what benifit there is to the project.

I've shot 41 Mag bullets from a 450-400 and all I had was a double rifle that shot 2 foot groups with explosively expanding bullets......about as useful as tits on a boar hog.
