6.5X30-30??
I just bought a bunch of 30-30 brass and found about 30 wildcat brass mixed in. On 30-30 case the neck is moved froward and necked down to 6.5m. At first glance I thought it was 7 waters, but the shoulder seems pushed further forward and the neck accepts a 6.5 bullet. Any ideas as to what this round is and any idea where I can find furhter info?

It could be one of the 6.5 x 30-30 AIs or a 6.5 BR Magnum, which is an elongated .219 Donaldson Wasp case that will hold about 10 grains more powder than the standard DW.

The BRMs are a product of the E. Arthur Brown Co. Inc. but can also be made from 30-30 brass and will do 2,400 plus in rifle length barrels with the 140s. They are on the web @
www.ecaco.com

Along with brass, dies and load data, there is a lot of other interesting information available on that sight...Rusty.

Rusty Hook;
Thanks for the information. That sight turned out to be a european energy co. But I got to the brown company, very interesting indeed. I believe what I have is some homemade brass for the 6.5 BRM. About $30 worth! Again, thanks for the lead, I believe you hit the nail on the head.
