eskimo366mm x 6.8 remington spc???
I have a 6mmx223 IMP in a little Sako. Would this wildcat clean up the chamber and offer me a little more power?

Wildcat CrazyNo,the 6mmx6.8 Remington SPC would not clean up the 6mmx.223 IMP. chamber,it is too short. The 6.8 Remington SPC
case has a length of 43MM.

JohnlySince you're looking at a custom reamer and dies, I'd look at using a 6.5x50mm Jap case necked down, shortend, and improved to meet your requirements. Sakos were chambered in 6PPC, so I think this ought to work.

Wildcat CrazyTHE HANDLOADERS MANUAL OF CARTRIDGE CONVERSIONS lists the .240 Madame as being 1.715 long with a shoulder length of 1.41. These dimensions are attributed to Ackley vol 1 page 295.if these dimensions are correct the Madame would not clean up the 6x.223 chamber.

Ulfhere (HTL)The SPC cartridge would clean up the chamber if you were willing to set back the barrel a couple of millimeters. That is commonly done when rechambering anyway, but it may involve more machining than you can do for yourself or it may not work out with the barrel you have if there is a quarter rib or other feature soldered to the barrel that demands a fixed position relative to the receiver.

papaschmudIf you went with the .30 Rem, you wouldn't have to go as short as the .240 Madam. The .30 Remington is 2.050". Heck you're going complete custom anyway, you could do what ever you like with the shoulder configuration/neck length and defintely make it work.
