44 Wildey Magnum?
I know they did a 45 and 357 on the 475 case.
How about a 44? I've been thinking about it.
Roadblock is what platform? May have to cut the case.
I would like a recoil operating system. Lighter and simple.

Seems to me that if you are using the Wildey case it would make the most sense to use the Wildey pistol as a platform. On the other hand I have one in 475 and it's a pretty horrible design.

Desert Eagle would work, but at that point why not just get a 440 Cor-Bon.

Best option would probably be a LAR Grizzly. I thought they were only made in 45 Win Mag, but i just looked them up and they made a 50AE version.

The LAR Grizzly - what a great pistol. I have a Mark V hardchrome in the safe with the compensator.

I'm not a big guy and I do not find the .45 WinMag at all difficult to manage in the Grizzly frame. Heck, I have even used it in some fun IDPA style matches. Granted, double taps are kind of out of the question but I've never dropped a popper with more authority. Smiler

Grizzly did sell conversion kits for a while - 9mm, .357, 10mm, .44 mag and.45 ACP - those were all available. They are a bit challenging to find now but are really solid guns.

Robert

The Grizz would be an excellent option.
I wonder if one could convince RIP to Wildcat handguns?

I had a LAR grizzly with all of the conversions at one time. The coolest conversion was the 357/45win mag. .45win mag necked to .357. The only reason I got rid of it was the grip was absolutely huge. I should have just had it modified and kept it.
