Proposed wildcat idea!
Not sure if this has been done before but how about a 300 H&H case necked up to 338? Am sure there must be a way to figure out the velocities on paper before the next step assuming it hasnt been done already!

Mr Holland is pretty sharp today.....I'd have simply said it's called the .340 Weatherby...... well close!!!

Plan on the .338/.300 HH to get you a 250 grainer at about 2,700 FPS

You will find that most of the ideas have been tried. Or at least there with very minor differences. I spent a lot of $$ (at least for me) and a lot of time building up and testing my PDK series. Only to find 10 years later I had a Gibbs using 280 brass and 40 not 35deg shoulder.

If it's any consolation, you're not the first one to discover the benifits of a wheel on society.
