jamesfromjersey-356 GRN info-
Does anyone have any experence with a wildcat handgun cartridge called the 356 GRN which is a 41mag necked down to 357??? This a bottleneck round with short neck to be used in revolvers. Its made by Gary Reeder custom gunshop.Had my S&W mod27 rechambered for it,however, I am having a large amount of unburned powder spitting back in my face.I am assuming it is because of a large cylinder gap. There was no case set back. I am using H-110 powder and a CCI 350 mag primer.Just picked up a new chronograph and have to get to the range to see what velocities I`am getting.Any ideas???? Thanks, JFS
PS- Had this conversion done on my model 27 with a 8 3/8" barrel which would be used the next time I get to Nevada for some coyote hunting. The published velocities with a 125 jhp looked like just the ticket for coyote hunting with a revolver.
