Re: 9.3X62 to .375
I have a 9.5x57MS right now and it is all the recoil I want. The cartridge is healthy (270gr at 2160fps with my handloads) and the gun is downright light (a hair less than 6-1/2 pounds).

Anyway, the base of the cartridge is the same as the 30-06 and 8mm Mauser. I made my cases from .35 Whelen brass. Unlike the forming information posted earlier, you don't have to anneal the case. With Imperial Forming Wax, I set the shoulder back and enlarged the neck in one easy pass. Then it was shortened by hacksaw, file, and reamer. Didn't take much time. By adjusting the forming die so that the remaining shoulder (what remained was pretty small) gave the case a slight crush fit in the chamber, I was able to fireform them with a little Red Dot and a wax plug. All in all, it was an easy case to form. I formed 200 of them that way, so I am set for life.
