I just built one one on a nice Weimer action. Any pet loads out there?

What twist is it? I have a 1-8 twist and used 107 SMK on a couple whitetail does. This is not a good bullet past 400 yds. for deer but worked well inside this. I used 44 gr H4350 with Norma brass and Fed. Match primers. This load of 4350 is VERY accurate but stretched the primer pockets in the Norma going 3150 fps so I switched to Lapua brass and it is a significant improvement. I got the rifle right before deer season and the gunsmith only worked up loads for the SMK but I have since started using 105 A-Max and still haven't found a great load.

This one is a one in nine....I was hoping to stabalize the 75-105 gr bullets.....will find out as soon as the weather moderates. Regards, Rick.

You might well try an 85 grain bullet and the 4831 or R22 powders. Very accurate in my 1 in 10.

I have found the bullets of choice for deer to be 95 gr Noslers, Barnes X types, or Sierra GS. I had troubles with regular type bullets at my velocities.
