Buganother short .45???
Reading another post got me wondering. There are a bunch of short .45 caliber cartridges out there. While most are using .458" bullets, lately there has been some discussion about using the .451-.452 pistol bullets. Anyone making a .45 based on the WSM, or R-SAUM case?

ClarkI have built two rifles with Shilen .452" barrel blanks:
1) Mauser 45acp with .469" chamber.
2) 91/30 45/70 with 45acp throater.
The barrel blanks through Brownell's are chrome moly and therefore not hand lapped at the Shilen factory. I would pay Shilen's retail price plus handlapping fee if I were to do it over. The brass jacket on Montan Gold 230 gr FMJ are fairly hard, but there is copper fouling with high velocities.
