Actually the .338 Voschol would be fun but I will stick with the 8X68s for my project.
The .500 Jeffery can be made on a standard mauser action. SABI does that but my .500 is on a magnum action as you know.
The magnum action makes loading that mag easier when in a stressful situation where eyes must be on the game and not the rifle

It's based on a 500 Jeffery and has someting like 30-40 degrees shoulder angle

."With the experience gained from the development of the 338 SABI, the 270 SABI and now the 338 VOSCHOL we are able to manufacture the rifle of almost any wildcat. We can make the case forming dies and also the reloading dies, as long as it is done on the three base sizes and existing bullets available. The 338 Voschol is a 500 Jeffery case necked down to shoot a 338 bullet" http://www.sabirifles.co.za

I think you can find more info on the round in the magnum man articles in the Nickudu archives

Soo it's a 338 Voschol instead of a 8X68S?

Gentlemen

Does anyone have any info on the 338 Voschol ?
I think it is made by SABY in RSA.
It is based on a .500 Jeffery cartridge.
What is the angel ?
