Will post details as developments progress.

Let me guess: a sewing needle loaded into a necked-down .22 Short case? Will make the .17 HMR look like a friggin cannon shell. Hehehe.
Who made 0.043 barrels ? :-)
Could I use sabotted 0.02 projectile in it ?
What velocity could I get with 1gr bullet ?
Will it enough penetrate for stopping hornet ?

HerrBergStarted to think about it. Of one makes a needle with a heavy tip (tungsten? gold?) and a rear end of something lighter (titanium?), maybe it would stabilize in a barrel with no rifling. Maybe well be able to get hold of some surplus depleted uranium in the middle east region soon?
It may be difficult to cut the rifling in that kind of caliber.
It may be (?) possible to shoot that thing with a primer only and still getting considerable velocities, waddyathink?
I believe the recoil will be manageable.

GrandpasezIf you use needle you would call it the .043
Mosquito Sticker. or if you can't hit one
you would call it the .043 Butterfly Sticker.Ed.
