Depends on what the parent case is.

If .223 family based (0.378" case head) I'd suggest using 7mm TCU data. A 7mm TCU would be a 7x44, so you could work up to 5-7% higher loading based on bigger case capacity. Most older manuals have TCU data. I have the Sierra Pistol manual which has loads for it.

If .308 family based (0.473" case head) I'd suggest starting 10% below 7-08 data. 7-08 would be 7x51.

If it's based on some other case, I don't have a good recommendation.

I ended up putting a 7x47 together on a Interarms mini mauser with 24" barrel. Best load so far is the nosler 140gr. Ballistic tip with H322 and a Federal small rifle primer. I find that 7mmTCU data works very well working up from below max. This is one sweet shooting round.

Hey guys - You didn't say exactly what the 7 x 47 is. Is it simply the 222 Rem Mag necked up to 7mm with no other changes??

The 7x47 I have is exactly the 222 rem mag necked up no other changes. Great fun no real velocity but uses very little powder and can be reduced to subsonic levels if wanted. The only drawback is price of brass, 223 can be used if necked up and back for correct headspace, though makes it short in neck.
