Nortman.458 BMG..
What do you think one could get out of a BMG case necked down to 458? 400 grainers ( remington bulk ) with a 26" barrel? 3300fps?

GrandpasezFaster than that. I get 31-3200 with my
458HE, with 32" barrel. And a 458 on bmg
case is much better than the 416s they
are doing out there on same case.Ed

Nortmanallright.. a 458/chey tac. I would suppose one could get 3000fps with a 500 grain bullet? But how heavy would the rifle have to be to stand the recoil?

Tyler KempOr how big would the muzzlebreak have to be...it's still gonna kick close to a 50 BMG I'd guess. Results would be impressive on deer.
