in wolffs wildcatt cartridges i found the following data for 87 grain bullets
.25 x 47
31 grains n-203 3072 fps
26 grains n-203 2557 fps
25 grains blc-2 2527 fps

25-222 copperhead
20.5 grains imr 4198 2590 fps

257 kimber
33.0 grains w-748 3020 fps
31 grains h-335 3030 fps
31 grains h 4895 3056 fps

Thanks for the data guys. I'm pretty impressed with the performance of a round this small. I'll let you know how it goes.

PS: anybody got any input on using Redding bushing dies for the 204 Ruger with the correct bushing? Redding replied: "Our company policy is that you can use our bushing neck sizing dies one caliber larger or smaller than they are labeled for. Therefore, we can't recommend the use of our bushing dies for your project."

This leads me to believe it'd work, they'd just prefer that I pay for custom dies...

Hodgdon has data for the 257 Kimber in the NO. 26 Manual. They show the 75gr bullet @ 3200 in a 22" barrel. Probably 3100-3150 in a 20". They do not list pressure. They get @ 2760 in the 22" barrel with a 100gr.
