22 Cheetah Mk 1
I bought a 22 cheetah a friend of mine had built,It was unfired except for 2 proof rounds. He is getting out of the sport for medical reasons. Anyway it's a Remington 600 action, 26 in. hvy varmint barrel 1-9 twist 3 gruve custom . It has a Tubs lug, custom 1 piece bottom medal and Mcmillen stock pillar bedded and glassed by Mcmillen, the bolt has a sako extractor and it squared and lapped. It also came with a leupold VIII 3.5x10 scope. I have formed 50 rounds of brass already and started to work up loads for it.I will be shooting only 69-75 grs. bullets. I shot some test loads yesterday at 30 yds. using IMR 4350 /41.0 GRS./ CCI BR2/ Hornady 75 gr. A-Max / 2.610 OAL they shoot very well 6 rounds at .369 . I also tried some Sierra 69 gr. HPBT with IMR 4350/ 41.5 GRS./ CCI BR2 / 2.460 OAL 6 rounds at .632. My question to any of you who shoot this round or have data for it using heavy gr. .224 bulets I really could use some more choices. Thanks for the help.

My data is for a 22/243 Middlested and the CHeetah should have just a little more case capacity.
42.7grs N160 VV 75gr JLK - 3507fps
same load with a 69 Sierra- 3589 fps
44.5 RL 19 70gr Starke 3593 fps
45gr 4831sc 69 Sierra 3560 fps
45.5 N560 VV 69 Sierra 3631 fps
these were shot in a 3 groove 9 twist Pac Nor 26" long
45grs RL22 75 A-max 3589 fps
45.5 RL22 75 A-max 3626 fps
I would start a little lower just because it is the safe thing to do.

Me and (3) of my friends here shoot the 22/6mm which is very close to the same thing. Duane's load in RL22 is where we start and run it to about 48gr. It yields the same velocities and out of all (3) rifles it is a one hole load. We have used 75gr Amax, 69gr sierra BTHP, 70gr Barnes TSX, 68gr Starke FBHP and 75gr Hornady BTHP all shoot one little hole at 100/200 yards. I personaly have taken deer with head/neck shots out to 420 yards and one of the guys took his on a prarie dog hunt and shot out to 600 yards accurately with the load.

Here's some data.

Hope it's readable, if not PM me and I'll scan it at higher resolution.

Looks to me like 7828SSC would be the ticket.
