Jeffe is correct. Several people shoot it in Varmint for score classes. A few guys use it at the Tomball, Texas range mainly with 18 twist barrels and 112 grain bullets.

Steffen: when you say improved do you mean that the parent case is fired in the improved chamber and the fired case becomes the improved case or do you mean that the parent case was sized with dies to make a different case. If a 30PPC is a 6PPC or 7PPC with a 308 neck then a 7.62x39 can't be improved in the chamber as it would not fit in the chamber as the PPC is 0.175" shorter from base to shoulder. PS:Jeffeosso I am still waiting for that loading data for the 30 cal and 35.

Found it! There is a true 7.62x39 improved. It's called the 30 PPC Largo. Largo is "long' in Spanish. Here is the spot were I found the information. http://www.thehighroad.org/sho...a322be0a874&t=431995
