500grainsCall Dennis Olson then send him a check for US$5000. In about 8 months, you will receive a box with a 700 BMG improved in it.

Overkill500grains!
I will do that. But not yet, I will wait a few years and save money and then I will buy it. If there isnt a better cartridge on the market then!

MingbogoI believe that Dennis Olson's 700 caliber is called 700 Rimless Nitro Express, not 700 BMG Improved. He uses a McMillan 50 BMG action and his own custom walnut stock for this big boy. By the way, his lead time should be a lot better than 8 months. Have fun.

RobgunbuilderOverkill- Order some of John's 2000gr .700 boreriders. You'll be impressed!! The bullets alone are bigger than a 460WBY. Just think of the fun you'll be having launching some some of these at 2000fps. You'll be safe from those Bears just showing them one.

GrandpasezOverkill-Rob-Have got the first 700 Hubel Express
done.Straight belted case.I think this is will be the best 700 as it will reload a hundred times,
and cost a fraction of 700NE loads. In picture
is 450Win-then a 458 Hubel Express,then the
510 Hubel express,And the 700 Hubel Express.I
decided not to do a 600, so as not to compete
with the 600 OK.Ed.

OverkillI will buy a .600 OK or a .700 Rimless Nitro express. But I have to wait for some years...! 2000 grianer at 2000FPS...

King BaboonEd,
What is the parent case for your 700?
21 March 2003, 05:14
RobgunbuilderED- Nice job! I'd love to see it expanded to .727 for the 12 Guage from Hell! 2000 gr Weight Foreward Bridger bullets in a smoothbore! If you could send me a few cases, I'd love to play with them a bit. Tell me how much you want for a couple? I've backburnered the 12 guage from hell for a while to finish finish up the .600 OK. What diameter is your belt ( .802?).-Rob
21 March 2003, 07:45
GrandpasezRob-The belt diameter tentatively .800, rim the same, although rim could be rebated if wanted.
Have developement done few weeks.Brass will be
7 bucks each delivered in US.Regular loads matching 700 NE will allow for at least
a 100 reloads, makes it a bargain.Single cartridges for collectors will be a little more.
King--It is made from 50 bmg brass.
Overkill-The headspacing on mine is better and trouble free.Brass will last much longer with no
shoulder to work.Ed.

Here is a picture of the 600 OK, a 700 cal 2050 gr bore rider and a 416 rem.
The 700 would definitely handle the bears.

GrandpasezJohn--Beautiful bullet. How long is the section that engages the rifling. They might look good
sticking out of a 700 Hubel Express..Ed.
Fritz, do you have any idea of thats bullets BC? I think the 50 caliber benchrest guys need to move up.
22 March 2003, 03:49
fritz454Ed,
The driving section is 0.210 long.
Dan,
I don't know the BC of it yet. I've have to get some chrono work done. My guess is it will be better than the 50 cal bore riders.
