Measuring water capacity ...
Guys,
Okay probably a blonde question ... but how do you measure water capacity if needing to plug the info into QL (anyone want to volunteer to do the QL runs??). Is it measured to the brim in an empty case? With projectile seated? How???
Here are the approx vital stats so far on the case:
2.103" length with a base to shoulder of 1.627".
Rim diameter: 0.586", base diameter 0.614", shoulder diameter 0.596", neck dia. 0.517", neck length 0.350", and a shoulder angle of 20deg.
Cheers...

Water capacity for at least Loadtech and I'm pretty sure Quickload is water filed to the rim. The program will then adjust net capacity based on the bullet and the OAL. When I use an electronic scale I measure empty and full and subtract. On my beam scale I use a resized case without a primer. Plug the flash hole with my finger tip fill and empty into the pan. Removing the finger allows the water to empty better. Then average several attempts. With a primer in place I find I need to shake out the water and end up with a drop or two missing the pan.

As usual just my $.02
