  • 160gr. Hornady RN, 45gr WXR, .243 RP cases, WLRM, oal=3.030", Powder filled to neck shoulder junction, mild some soot, 2454 to 2482 FPS. 3 shot 1/2" grp. at 50 yds.
  • 156 gr. Norma RN., 45gr. WXR., .243 RP cases, WLRM. filled to neck shoulder X. oal=3.025" 2588 to 2592 fps., 2 separate 1/4" groups 1" apart at 50 yds.

  • 160 gr.Hornady RN., 43.2gr. DP85, rp .308 cases. WLRM., powder 1/2 way up shoulder. mild some soot. 2507 to 2518 fps., 3 shoot .700" grp at 50 yds. 1" group at 200 yds.

  • 156 gr. Norma RN.43.2gr. DP85. RP .308 cases. WLRM.oal=3.025". mild some soot, 2589 to 2601 fps., 3 shot .300" grp at 50 yds., Dead on at 200 yds.

  • 160gr. Hornady RN., 44gr. H-4831, full to neck, RP.243 cases WLRM, oal=3.030", mild some soot, 2410 to 2460 FPS.,4 shot 3/4" group at 50yds.,

  • 156gr. RN., 44gr. H-4831, RP.243 cases, WLRM, oal= 3.025"Mild some soot, 2516 to 2569 fps.3 shot 1/2" grp. at 50 yds.

  • 139gr. spbt., prvi. 43.6 gr. H4831, .243 win cases, #34, oal=2.997", 2416 to 2418 fps. mild , soot, Not Great.

    I done something that was in the ball park of your round. I rebarreled a Jap Type 38 Arisaka action to 260 Remington, but since that action can handle just about 30-06 length cartridges I throated the 260 chamber out so I could shoot the longer heavier bullet keeping them out of the powder space like you did. Shoot it does too!!!

    tu2Actually your cartridge would be a step ahead of mine in performance as its capacity would be a little greater. You will also have the benefit of using commercial ammo.
    In 1966 I rechambered a 6.5 Arasaka to 6.5x284 with a deep throat. Same road different fork. beerroger

    6.5-284...cool. Bet you really had to work the feed rails to get them to feed. I had to open mine up for the fatter 260 and change the follow too.
