A wildcat I designed about 20 some years ago and had it put together by Vapo Dog early this year. the original intent was to neck down the .308 to 6.5 with a sharper shoulder and an extended neck. the rifle's throat and magazine were to accommodate a 156gr psp or 160gr. Rn. without shoving the bullets into the powder room. Because of the design features it was intended to be the smallest cartridge totally adequate for game in the lower 48.

I done something that was in the ball park of your round. I rebarreled a Jap Type 38 Arisaka action to 260 Remington, but since that action can handle just about 30-06 length cartridges I throated the 260 chamber out so I could shoot the longer heavier bullet keeping them out of the powder space like you did. Shoot it does too!!!

Actually your cartridge would be a step ahead of mine in performance as its capacity would be a little greater. You will also have the benefit of using commercial ammo.
In 1966 I rechambered a 6.5 Arasaka to 6.5x284 with a deep throat. Same road different fork.roger
