Magnum Hunter1Has anyone worked with the 9.3x57 and have any loads to share?
I know its not a wildcat but it might as well be since there is no printed data in the mainstream reloading manuals. I have searched the web for some loads for the 9.3x57 and have managed to come up with a few. I've got a Husky large ring 98 so chambered and thought I would work some up. Anyway, I am debating on using the 250 Nosler but my only concern is it opening at the low velocities the round turns up, or the 270 Speer and I have the same questions. Maybe the light jacketed Hawk bullets are the way to go. I would like to hear from someone on AR that has experience with the round and make my decision from there. Thanks.

KabluewyI have a 9.3x57 with a new barrel on a FN action. I've tried RL15, IMR 4064, IMR4895 and H4895. They all worked well. I settled on 4064, and have some loads made up, and the rifle sighted in with 250 gr Nosler ABs and BTs.
A month or so ago, I tried some Speer 270grs and 4064, and was really pleased with the accuracy. Both the Noslers and the Speers shoot about the same accuracy, but I like the way the flat base Speers seat in the case better. The chamber has a long throat so I don't seat the bullets deep, which leaves more room for powder.

So far I haven't taken it hunting yet, but it is ready when I am. It was a lot of fun at the range, but no challange. Very easy load development and very cooperative round. I have a 20" barrel, and my notes show 2283fps with the Noslers.

exabitHave you tried the Norma website?
http://www.norma.cc/sortimentl...aliber=9,3x57&Lang=2It only covers Norma powders, but AFAIK they are pretty much similar to Reloader powders (but you have to know what you're doing and of course work up your loads).

JohnlyIf you PM me your e-mail address I'll send you a .pdf file of a 9.3x57 reloading article.
I shoot an old Husky 9.3x47, and get about 2 MOA accuracy using the factory irons with the 270 Speer and 4064.

Fat_Albertexabit:Were do you think that the Reloader powders come from? Its alot more like "out of the same pot" than just similar.
