PaulHBrass
I have been clearing out some old brass. I still have some 338-06 AI fireformed brass (50+ by the looks). I dont have the rifle anymore.
Can this brass be used by someone else with a 338-06AI?

ramrod340Since I miss read the question let me alter my answer.
Assuming someone else has a correct 338-06AI and your brass was from a correct chamber then there is a good chance they could use the brass. Might need running through the die. If their headspace is much longer than yours then you are back to re fireforming. If you brass is too long to the shoulder trying to set the shoulder back very far would probably be an issue. I've found 40 deg shoulders don't like to move much.
As Wstrnhuntr said if it was me I'd prefer to start over with new brass.

WstrnhuntrIf the cases would chamber in someone elses rifle, and if someone were actualy intrested, yes, they could be used. If there is enough variation in the chamber for concern, then the bullets could be seated into the lands for re-fireforming. Still, there is also a chance that it might be perfectly safe in another rifle.
If it were me I think I would just opt for new 338-06 brass though.

PaulSNever throw brass away! You can recycle it and usethe cash to buy new or used brass Or keep it until you find someone who will trade something you need for it.
