so what are common rates of twist in 22 cal's

how does that compare with the 177's and what about progressive twists?

Interesting, never even really considered twist rates.
There were a couple guns with the polygonal hole rather than rifling, but they seem not to have caught on.

Commom 22 CFs are 1 in 7" to 1 in 16".

Commom 17 CFs are 1 in 9" to 1 in 10".

Don't know about rimfires.

Whatever Styer use is the right one for .177 750 fps 8.4 grain.

The things just make one .177 size hole however many shots you do at 35y. Off a good bench indoors there is no group just one small neat hole.
I think they are now the most accurate airguns.
Shame I don't know anybody with a Hipower .22 I'd bet that would do one hole at 70 or even more yards.
