carpetmanblack squirrel
Here we have a black squirrel that burrows. They seem to be pretty mean and agressive. Had a bunch take up under my storage shed and got rid of them. Recently saw signs that I thought maybe they were back. Saw one out today and used my Sheridan Blue Streak and 4 pumps and never saw anything drop so fast before. Hit him in the eye. Straight down no quiver no nothing.

Plinker603That's a good job with only 4 pumps. Squirrels can be hard to kill.

carpetmanDidnt think the squirrel I instantly dropped was the last of em,it was a male. The other day I saw a larger squirrel and a smaller one. I got a shot off,but not dropped on spot. Most don't drop on spot, but make it back to the hole. Now I have a stink in my storage shed. Any good ideas of getting rid of the smell?

Plinker603When the smell goes away with time, go out there and nail mesh wire around the bottom of the shed. Dig a trench so you can bury several inches of the wire so they can't tunnel under.
Then, i'd prob cut one small hole and set a steel foothold trap there to clean up any remaining squirrels.

calgarychef1We have black squirrels her in Calgary. They aren't native and have pushed out all the red squirrels (cute little buggers if you ask me). Apparently they are very hard on the songbird nests too-A loop of snare wire on top of the fence does nicely.

BuglemintodayStick a water hose down the hole and turn it on and have the gun already pumped up!
We have had ground squirrels and other burrowing animals in our yards before and this gets em out for the shot
